Do you want to take your Kodi to the next level? If so, creating your custom build is the right thing for you. Such build includes a skin, add-ons, and specific configuration to get the proper functionality. It won’t contain any redundant stuff, meaning it will work fast without the problems you often get when using third-party builds.
This tutorial will guide you through all the steps for creating an awesome build, especially for your needs.
First, you need to install a skin. The one we recommend is Aeon Nox Silvo. This skin looks amazing with all the required functionality. You will need to prepare background images before the installation, as this skin has no default background image.

Should I update to Kodi v19.0 Matrix?
The main feature of Kodi v19 is that add-ons must now be designed with Python 3. This means that all Python 2-based add-ons are not compatible and cannot run on the Matrix.
At the time of writing this guide, most of the top add-ons do not seem to have completed the necessary changes required with Python 3.
Therefore, if you are already using all these top movies, TV Shows, Sports, or adult add-ons, it is important to stay on Kodi v18.9 until later.
As usual with such changes that affect add-ons from external developers, not all extensions have yet been changed. Thus before updating to Kodi 19.0, users should check whether the add-ons they are using have already been converted.
Here is how to change the colors of the skin:
From the main screen of Aeon Nox Silvo, click System
Click Interface
Click Configure skin
Hover over Customization in the left pane, and click Choose skin colors in the right pane
Choose the color you prefer in the right pane, and click Yes to confirm
What else can you do?
Under the Interface settings, you can change things like font, language and zoom. When clicking Configure skin, you can change many other configuration parameters related to the skin. Explore those parameters and fine-tune your build. You have all the tools to be creative!
